If your garage cancels before the booking date, we'll ask them to provide an alternative date and offer it to you. Alternatively, you can rebook in the app. If you decide to cancel, you’ll get a full refund.

On rare occasions, an MOT test cannot be carried out due to an issue at the garage. The garage will try to rebook you for an alternative date, PayByPhone will speak to the garage on your behalf to rearrange, or you can book again in-app. If you prefer not to rebook, you’ll get a full refund.

The garage may have an issue with the booking system and might ask you to pay them directly for the MOT test or service. If this happens you can call us, and we will speak to the garage to resolve the issue. If you need to pay the garage directly, you’ll get a full refund from PayByPhone.
